Last October 23rd, LGTNetwork and Belmond Hotels and River Cruises – our strong supporter and partner, hosted a dinner for a select group of travel agents and tour operators from the United States, in Yangon, Myanmar at very lovely Le Planteur Restaurant & Bar, on the banks of the Inya Lake. This dinner was part of the two 10 days itinerary created by both Mandarin Oriental and Belmond, which included Bangkok, Thailand and several destinations in Myanmar.

Our founder Carlos Melia, was the host of the night, an evening of Good Fellowship and Networking in full luxury, for 17 guests of our professional network. At Le Planteur, we were warmly welcomed by Chef Gil Dumoulin and his charming wife/restaurant host Emmanuelle Cipriani, for a fantastic soiree.

The night began over cocktails and champagne, at the waterfront garden, overlooking the Inya Lake . To continue with a degustation menu of Burmese/French dishes paired with local Myanmar and international wines by Chef Dumoulin and his expert Sommelier.
Carlos Melia commented on his blog… ” Trust me, if you visit Yangon, this is a gourmet experience you cannot miss. And if you are looking for a more romantic of private experience, you should try the Winer Cellar, which comfortably seats 8 to 10 guests, for an upscale and intimate gourmet experience…” Read and see more.
Thank you Le Planteur Restaurant & Bar and Chef Gil Dumoulin for their hospitality and warm welcome to Myanmar. ( www.leplanteur.net ). LGTNetwork
